Steering Behaviors

I started with steering behaviors as a way to practice C++ and get a feel for how autonomous agents actually move — seek, flee, wander, and the rest of the Reynolds toolkit — without jumping straight into a full game.
The interesting part was less the individual forces and more how they combine. Once you stack seek, arrive, and obstacle avoidance, you start making the same kind of tradeoffs you later make in Utility AI: which signal wins, and how hard it should pull.
That project is what led me into Arbiter. I wanted a dedicated place to keep building decision-making systems instead of one-off demos.
